We had a great stay...

Liked: The hotel was great and we really enjoyed the Dubliner and visited a couple times during our stay!
Disliked: Just the early morning noise outside our hotel, which I understand is out of their control.

Pick your room wisely

Liked: Convent location in central DC. 5 minute walk to Union station. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
Disliked: At 3 am an 18 wheeler pulled into the alley behind the hotel. My window opened to the alley. It woke me up. The truck idled until 5 pm and then the noise increased as something was being off loaded or loaded into the truck. Needless to say, I did not get much sleep. Nice room, but not restful.

No complaints. Lovely staff. Comfortable...

Liked: Great location. Comfortable and friendly. Fantastic restaurant connected. Clean and provided decent robes and toiletries. Complimentary coffee available at all times. One issue with leaking shower but maintenance was at the room to repair within ten minutes.
Disliked: The only complaint was the street noise at late night/ early morning hours. But to be expected in the big city on a lower floor.

A well-appointed and relaxing hotel...

Liked: Really nice hotel. Particularly comfy bed. Nice and quiet. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice Irish pub right on the premisis. I appreciate it not being one of the generic hotel chains. All in all, highly recommended. One thing I particularly liked was the upstairs atrium with comfy chairs plus some writing desks, and access to nice coffee.
Disliked: Despite receiving a confirmation from the hotel, they had lost my booking on arrival. The check-in person was very helpful however and booked me in again, matching the price, so no harm done. I was lucky they were not full! The manager contacted me afterwards: apparently this is an isolated incident.I found the water temperature in the shower to be slightly cool, but in fairness to the hotel I did not mention this to them at the time.
