Liked: Great location. All around a good hotel. Clean, but basically no amenities. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay because you'll be spending most of your time outside of the room, this is the place. However, it was affordable, clean, and centrally located. I'm happy with what I got for the price.
Disliked: Few amenities. Fine hotel, but definitely not luxury, though it doesn't claim to be! Cabs and Ubers seemed to have a hard time finding this location. I recommend being dropped off at/picked up at a location on the main road (Gran via)

Liked: The location is excellent close to Gran Vias. We were able to walk everywhere, so it was easy to get around and see what Madrid has to offer.
Disliked: The hotel is close to a nightclub, and there was noise from it and did witness a fight outside of it so maybe not ideal for a family.

My stay was great.

Liked: Perfectly located, we were able to walk everywhere. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The dumpster across the street was not nice to look at but there was construction nearby so it couldn't be helped. There was a group of gypsies on the corner. I did see a gypsy girl going to the bathroom near the dumpster which was quite shocking.

Bugs- roaches- inconsiderate staff

Liked: Good location. Once we were moved to the Alcala location, we had a very nice spacious and clean room- staff were helpful and considerate. Recommend PP Alcala. Do NOT recommend PP Tres Cruces
Disliked: The Tres Cruces location had us in a horrible lower level room that smelled of smoke (supposed to be non smoking). The room was dark, ugly and uncomfortable. We’d requested a higher floor. They said it’s all they had left, all their other properties were busy and nothing could be done. Front desk staff were rude and uncaring. Then as we entered the room after dinner there were cockroaches! It was horrible- see photos. At that point they “found” a room at a sister property for us that was not lower level, didn’t smell, was very clean or have bugs. After a very nice 2 night stay at Petit Palace Alcala, I can say I wouldn’t write off the whole chain. But I would never again recommend their Tres Cruces location.
