A great place in a...

Liked: The breakfast was wonderful! Thanks much to Roxanne. The room was roomy, the bed comfy, and the shower great. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The location was very central. We only walked the entire 5 days (and we are very senior citizens).
Disliked: Don't expect a good view.

Nice stay at the heart...

Liked: The location was unexpectedly good (it was our first time in Madrid and this is very centrally and nicely located). Although there is some noise from the construction on plaza del carmen, the thick glass from the balcony windows did a good job insulating them to an acceptable level. Breakfast was good and had plenty of options. Would stay in this hotel again in the future :-)
Disliked: The place at which breakfast is served is a bit on the smaller side: especially if arriving during the "rush" period you may need to wait a little to be seated. The key card reader for our room needed some maintenance (we got the hang of it after a while, but we needed to repeatedly insert and pull the key card until it worked). Also the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers could be more ergonomic: it felt like something in the design left only a very small space for you to put your hands below where the products were dispensed.

Liked: Location was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. Clean small rooms in a historic building. Staff was very helpful.
Disliked: The room size is very small no space between single beds. Ok for a couple not for friends traveling together.
