Liked: very dirty property, very unwelcoming staff and environment.
Disliked: the staff was very rude and unprofessional.

Pretty quiet, inexpensive, very close...

Liked: It’s cheap and clean.
Disliked: I wouldn’t say I “don’t like,” but a closet or a bar with coat hangers to hang things would have been great. Again, not a deal breaker at all.

Liked: I enjoyed my 1 night stay in the room down the hall with a splendid view of the firehouse. Absolutely no amenities with the exception of a large tv with lots of channels. Staff is thoughtful and helpful.

Budget-friendly and convenient for solo...

Liked: Shared bathrooms were not an issue. Two powder rooms, one shower, and one full bathroom on the third floor, which has total of 13 rooms. I never had to wait to shower or use toilet. All have reliable door locks. Typical of San Francisco: do not expect air conditioning or parking. I was always comfortable using the window to manage temperature. This hotel is half a block from the Muni/subway. Safeway is a block away and Walgreens is across the street. This location on Market Street is excellent. Walk a block and you’ll pass a coffee shop or two. Access to SFO airport is easy using the Muni to connect to BART.
Disliked: My one complaint is unreliable internet. If you want to spend more than 10 minutes using the hotel internet, it will drop you. I found this just a bit frustrating.
