Comfortable and clean

Liked: Comfortable and clean room with separate bathroom, wardrobe and mini fridge as well as kettle and complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Good size room, perfect for a couple on a weekend away for a wedding. The billiards room was a fun indoor activity when the weather cooled.
Disliked: The main window of the room faced the fire escape where people were able to walk past so we mainly kept the blind closed. We asked for our room to be refreshed during our two-night stay but were not given a new milk for tea. Not a negative but be warned that the hotel restaurant is booked out well in advance and closes early.

Liked: The location and nature surroundings were great! Beautifully maintained golf course grounds.
Disliked: The rooms have not been renovated for a while, very basic design and amenities, not expected for premium price paid.

Unpleasant and not at all...

Liked: Parking was taken up by wedding guests who were not staying at the hotel, we couldn’t park, we had to park way up the back of the hotel in what looked like staff parking, and walk through the mud and the pouring rain. The wedding was off site, and according to staff, the prearranged transport was from Craigieburn, hence non guests parking in guest parking spaces. There were only a few of the wedding guests staying at Craigieburn. At midnight we were awoken by several buses pulling up to the front of the hotel, just outside our room. The buses were so close to our room diesel fumes came through the room window and filling the room with disgusting fumes, we could hear gears grinding and passengers yelling and shouting. The hotel staff were rude and refused to direct further buses to the drop passengers off at the entrance to the hotel, a more sensible place that wouldn’t disturb other guests. The wedding guests, for a wedding not held at Craigieburn, with non staying guests using the parking, who were using Craigieburn as a set down and drop off venue, for another venue not related to the hotel, were the staffs top priority! It wasn’t a peaceful, or pleasant experience. This occurs frequently apparently! Craigieburn is a set down and drop off point for other venues. Very poor service and attitude
