Satisfied our need for a...

Liked: Buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff very pleasant & helpful. Great location.
Disliked: Bedroom & bathroom were smaller than I was expecting. I’ve worked in the hotel industry & I never understand why staff NEVER say, when you’re checking out, “ thanks for staying with us. Was everything ok? Hope to see you again”

The property surroundings and location...

Liked: I only stayed one night to break up a driving holiday. Grounds and garden absolutely gorgeous. I luckily requested a ground floor room which meant I did not have to climb stairs with luggage.
Disliked: Room seemed to be heavily fragranced when I was bringing in luggage. Did not think much about it. However after a couple hours the room just smelt bad which was disappointing and realised the carpet was damp as well. Unsure if they had tried to clean carpet and not aired the room properly.Fire alarm went off around 4:00am which was also unfortunate. Thankfully a false alarm. It took me a while walking around to know it was a false alarm. Only a night manager on duty who could not leave the office / alarm control system.
