Had potential to be wonderful....

Liked: Had potential to be wonderful. However everything feels a little bit run down. Lots of external noise in the rooms. Feel like I paid extra for nothing

Pleasant old world charm

Liked: Beautiful setting. Excellent breakfast buffet. Relaxing communal lounge areas.
Disliked: Our room with a balcony, didn't have an exclusive area, in that the balcony is shared along a stretch of the building. Very tasteful, but at the same time, the available seating was positioned beneath the windows of the bathrooms belonging to the other units - so not so inviting and it also made it feel as if you were encroaching on fellow guests (would have been great, if our neighbours were friends rather than complete strangers)The bathroom was small and dated.

Comfortable and peaceful

Liked: Beautiful location and grounds. Lovely staff. Old manor house surrounded by mediocre rooms out of the 1970s- comfortable enough but not matching the elegance of the maon building.
Disliked: Enormous bed plus a large day bed in a small room, bit of shuffling around needed. No extractor fan in the bathroom. Room feels very exposed, at eye level facing the main courtyard- maybe partial frosting on the glass to help with privacy?

Disappointing & such a shame...

Liked: The bed was very comfortable but the room was tight. The shower was hot with good water pressure
Disliked: We were told they were dog friendly but after having to pay an additional fee for the dog the other facilities were not dog friendly. To dine at their restaurant we were prepared to sit outside on the balcony with our dog but they don't have tables & chairs to dine at (only seats & a coffee table).

Nice weekend with family at...

Liked: The comfortable sitting areas -good for groups; gardens were lovely
Disliked: The original room booked for immobile elderly parents was tucked up away along corridors and had little light and smelt quite musty
