The staff were very courteous and helpful.

Liked: The hotel was within walking distance of the Phoenix Concert Theatre.
Disliked: Nothing.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Jorge, Cambridge Sun, 3 July 2016

I paid for a 2 bed room and received 1 bed that was dirty and full of hair. Bathroom lights did not work and there was a big hole in the door to see through. Shower was probably the worst part. Tiny and leaked - for CA$146 I could have stayed at the Super 8 for less $ and a lot bigger/cleaner.

Liked: Dirty and small.
Disliked: Everything was bad.

Great place to stay; it's cheap and they don't bother you; room was comfy; all you need.

Liked: Great place.

Angela, Manitoba Wed, 31 August 2011

Never check in to this hotel. It doesn't even deserve to be called a hotel. First of all, they said they had a dryer & iron, they didn't have one in the room. Then they charged me twice for the room that I booked. The next day, their warm water didn't work, so the water in the room was freezing cold. I couldn't even take a bath. It was filthy. It was the worst place I've been to. For $65, a person still needs a decent room to sleep in.

Great location, I think the...

Liked: Good location in a nice neighbourhood, staff were nice and helpful.
Disliked: With us having a basement room there was no option to open a window, so after a day or so it felt very claustrophobic in the room. Plus we had some loud guests next door, the walls are extremely thin.

Don't go there. Outrageous pricing....

Liked: There was a coffee machine
Disliked: Absolute hell hole. Rude staff. Sink was blocked when I first went into the bathroom, reported it to staff I was told it was my fault. Floor was filthy. Bedding was so gross I wrapped myself in my own clothing. Carpeted areas are disgusting. I wish I had asked my daughter (who lived in Toronto) about the area which is incredibly unsafe and well known to be full of shouting drug users. Windows don't open so no fresh air. Don't trust the photos making it look so charming. It truly isn't.

Disliked: Location, bottom of Pembroke St a bit dodgy. When walking, enter Pembroke by the top of the street by the park.

Joshua Fri, 13 September 2024

Great location, poor bedroom condition

Liked: The location was excellent, a 15 minute walk from either Dundas or College station making it easy to get to Union station
Disliked: Didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but on the first morning as we were leaving for the day we asked for the room to be dusted and de-cobwebbed, as they were in every corner and the gent on reception said that they didn’t have a duster or vacuum cleaner, plus the room was in general disrepair with various cracks and enamel missing from the bath tub
