Lovely location, friendly staff and...

Liked: Everything less the leisure Centre.
Disliked: The Leisure Centre was too cold and too busy to relax. Plus, there was insufficient seating.

Very good

Liked: We were allocated a nice room with a good view at the front of the building. Lovely touch to give me a birthday card and chocolates in the room. Waiting staff are very friendly
Disliked: The spa element needs an update especially changing rooms and poolside shower which is very tired and a bit dirty

Superb

Liked: All staff very friendly and efficient.
Disliked: Not the hotels fault but a lot of unsupervised children running around.

Liked: Beautiful property that kept so much of it’s original charm yet had tastefully updated decor. Wonderful food and such friendly and help staff. A very relaxing and comfortable stay
Disliked: Exterior needs a coat of paint

Liked: It's a great hotel full of history with high quality food and an attractive pool area. Views towards the hills were stunning.
Disliked: All three of us that had breakfast coffee didn't like the taste which was surprising as everything else was great quality.

Disliked: Unfortunately as we visited during school holidays, the number of children in the leisure pool were extremely loud and very busy in the spa rooms. Personally think it should be over 16 year olds in the rooms to allow adults to switch off when trying to relax.

Liked: Lovely room - big and comfortable with an excellent view. The staff were great and were knowledgable and proud of the history of the hotel. We enjoyed that aspect a lot.
Disliked: The hotel is old and could use being refreshed in places. However, that does add to the character and it was not shabby in any way.
