Liked: Good location for Alton towers. Margaret made us feel welcome. Accommodation a little tired but very clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
Disliked: My 14 year old moaned about no WiFi but as parents he actually had to talk to us. So Good as far as I am concerned.

Disappointing

Disliked: Extremely basic and very dated would possibly sum it up. Television was so small we could hardly watch it. Had a weird odour in the room. Won’t be returning.

Great family run inn

Liked: The staff was amazing lovely couple that look after you and will help with anything they can , we stayed last minute for a trip to Alton towers and the Peakstones is 7mins car ride away is perfect

Liked: Food was delicious, staff friendly
Disliked: The inn is upfront about being a pub and the possibility of noise from the bar / games room below so not really a criticism - all I would add is you can hear literally EVERYTHING, full conversations chairs moving etc so if you have young children that you want asleep before 9 it might be a battle!

Liked: Breakfast was fine. Rooms a bit dated but the owner was lovely and she made sure that everything was good!

Budget stay, lovely food!

Liked: Really friendly people, lovely food and all you need for a budget stay, close to Alton towers.
Disliked: Could do with new mattresses. Can feel the springs coming through.
