Liked: Breakfast-good-continentual limited. The room was very warm but cosy. When we sat outside on the first day, beetles were everywhere, including in my drink. The glass around the external seating area needed cleaning, and the milk left in my fridge was going off.The bed was comfortable, and the location was fabulous. The staff was professional, and they looked great in uniform.
Disliked: The coffee machine didn't work; it had a red light, and the water chamber was filled. TV channels are limited. I could not update the BBC i-Player, Netflix or Prime APP on the smart TV, so I could not watch any decent TV or films, so it's not great! If you had a shower, the bathroom floor would become very wet. The VENT extractor was not robust, so it became very steamy, especially if my wife was having a bath at the same time as the shower I was using.

Fantastic stay in somewhere not...

Liked: We stayed over after attending an event and found that the room was very close to everything we needed to get to yet there was no noise to be heard from the event - so we felt so close to the event getting there but so far away once inside our room. The room had an iron and ironing board to hand which was really useful as once I had arrived I could give the clothes another once over without having to ask. Having both a bath and shower was a lovely unexpected touch. The staff were really friendly once we arrived and check in was easy, the lady behind the desk offered help with luggage if required which was lovely of hers. She directed us to our room and asked if everything was alright with the room once she had seen us again. Breakfast was served from 7:30 until 10:30 which I think is a great timeframe to have. Fresh milk in the fridge instead of long life little pots.
Disliked: The fridge could have had a little more milk in (the bottles are small and there was two of us - lovely to have fresh milk (will add to the good bits) however for two people who have a slight hangover in the morning it just wasn’t enough - however, once we asked at reception they did bring us more. The coffee & teabags were in a cute little box which was ace but there wasn’t any Yorkshire / Tetley and my husband is a funny tea drinker - we should have probably brought some with us… The only other downside was we were unable to get served at the bar which was for the general public and not those at the event once the bar for the event had opened up. The event wasn’t starting until 7pm so we thought we would go down a little earlier to get a drink and felt a little intrusive turning up early so was a little miffed that we was unable to be served at the other bar as we hadn’t wanted to go in quite so early. I can understand that they probably didn’t want wedding guests using both bars but it would have been nice to have a couple without feeling like we had intruded on what probably would have been the couples down time before the evening event.
