Liked: Very clean property and the rooms were very nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the daily wine and cheese.

We would definitely visit this...

Liked: We loved the plants and layout of this hotel. The wine and cheese hour was a great touch, as well as the $20/room discount for specified restaurants, which we would probably have visited anyway. We also appreciated the luggage service from the ferry to the hotel. The staff was top notch and the location was perfect. The beds were comfortable and the toiletries were varied. The bathrobes and slippers were also a nice touch.
Disliked: The reason the overall rating was not marked as excellent is that 1) although I had asked for both rooms to be closer to each other, we ended up on exactly opposite rooms; 2) the price for both rooms was the same, but we found out later that they were not comparable in that one room had bathrobes and slippers, but the second did not; 3) the second room also had no bath gel bottle and instead had two shampoo bottles; 4) the second room seemed to have to share the outside sitting area with the next room. My impression is that there is no consistency or quality control in replenishing the rooms.Also of note is that the living area of the room was fairly small. The continental breakfast was as described, but the pastry seemed to have been kept in a refrigerator b/c they were cold and not soft. Also, the coffee ran out about a half hour before the breakfast was to end.

Relaxing garden oasis!

Liked: Beautiful gardens, awesome fire pit, great ambiance, and very friendly & helpful staff! After checkout hours… beach towels were offered & shower/changing area as well, and a secure space was provided for luggage!
