Very good

Liked: Location was good. Staff was friendly (Eva).Breakfast had lots of options, loved the homemade bread. Rooms were clean. Loved the Christmas decorations.
Disliked: Our TV remote would not work properly, Eva came up to help us and it worked for a second but then wouldn't allow us to change channels on Dish. With the floors having laminate instead of carpet it was a bit noisy when the guest in the room above us were walking around.

Took a chance on a...

Liked: Locally owned and operated with a friendly atmosphere. The lady who maintained the excellent breakfast display is very good at what she does. Please keep the popcorn machine.
Disliked: The bathroom fixtures need attention in room 104. The drain plug in the sink is missing allowing valuable items (like rings or earrings) to be lost. Drain plug in the tub was not attached.

Never again, bad experience although...

Liked: Was falsely accused of smoking in our room. Managed was very rude and confrontational until she realized that she was wrong, then she begrudgingly refunded the cleaning fee
Disliked: Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable , pillows were like rocks, had go buy pillows to sleep on. Rooms were very small

Exceptional

Liked: I thought the breakfast was good it was cooked well and the eggs were not overdone
Disliked: I do wish there was bacon but oh well

Quirky hotel for a nice...

Liked: The hotel had plenty of parking, clean rooms, and a decent breakfast. Our room was decorated with a country music theme, and we learned a little bit about country music by reading the information on the walls of the room. The hotel worked well for a one night stay while traveling.
Disliked: While I enjoyed the quirky room decor, I did feel that the room felt overall dated. The bed cover and linens felt more dated than fresh. The room also had a very musty smell which took a little getting used to. The hotel is located off the highway, which is convenient for a quick stop while traveling, but not really convenient to visit Grand Rivers.
