Amazing place to stay in...

Liked: Fabulous location. Friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. Room was spacious and well equipped. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: Decor is a bit tired in places but very clean and well looked after.

Adequate but could do with...

Liked: The staff were great. Breakfast was more than adequate.
Disliked: I know this is a hotel used primarily by walkers and therefore, perhaps, subject to a bit more wear and tear than usual. However, I do think it is trading a bit on its location. The room we had was very shabby, with wall and ceiling papers starting to peel. The landings and stairwell were both also suffering from a lack of maintenance, with the stairwell giving the appearance that it hasn't been decorated since the 1960s. Other than that, the food (we only has breakfasts) was adequate and the staff were smartly dressed, very efficient, and polite.

Disliked: Had to use overflow car park across the main road and no lighting!Poor WiFiBreakfast not hot enough and some food uncovered.Were informed that the evening meal was three courses for £30 (not possible to choose one or two courses).Only apparently one double socket in bedroom!Very small TV.Mould on bath sealant.
