Pleasant stay. Probably wouldn’t stay...

Liked: Staff were friendly, the receptionist on our arrival in particular was very helpful and engaging. The buffet breakfast had a reasonable selection. Food was hot and replenished regularly
Disliked: The hotel was very tired looking. Rooms are in need of an update particularly the bathrooms that looked shabby, cracked tiles, worn grout. Our toilet seat was broken and chipped. The communal areas were shabby. The lounge area was large and reasonably comfortable although did remind us of a residential home.

Liked: Location was stunning with great views if you book a room with a view.
Disliked: One room (117) was next to the stairs which was noisy and also had a kitchen vent outside the window which was also noisy.

Very nice and friendly hotel...

Liked: The location was very good with a number of walks locally. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and there was a brilliant singer on the Saturday night. There was a lovely beer garden at the front
Disliked: The water for the shower did not get very warm so was ok for when we went as the weather was nice but wouldn’t be good in winter when you would like a really warm shower.

Liked: Always have a great stay here. Friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Room was good and food great value for money. We have stayed a few times here and we look forward to being back soon.
