Great hotel with small but...

Liked: Extremely helpful staff, lovely hotel, courtyard...
Disliked: Our first room was "open concept" so there was no shower or toilet privacy. It was a bit ridiculous but the staff were super helpful and changed our room.The fact there is no coffee machine or kettle in the room is a big minus too. Having to get dreesed and go downstairs (not to mention pay 5 Dollars) to get coffee in the mornings isn't nice.

Liked: The lobby is beautiful. It’s a very comfortable space to hang out. The rooms are going to be dated soon but are well kept and have good light. The bathrooms are great, especially the walk in shower. The staff is EXCELLENT.
Disliked: The gym is mediocre, and going in and out of the parking lot was a hassle because the parking pass didn’t work reliably.

Superb

A lot of money for...

Liked: The ambience of the place is great it's historical 1940s architecture and reflects that time.
Disliked: it's expensive for what you get. A small cheap refrigerator in the room no microwave very limited space windows do not open. Parking is a nightmare in that there are a series of twists and turns and elevators and ramps at one must negotiate to get the parking to the hotel and they make no sense at all the way they're labeled. It took me 25 minutes to find my car when I parked in the parking garage. The staff was somewhat nonchalant not rude on occasion they did not go out of their way to assist me in any regard. The whole thing felt like a rip off.

Superb

Liked: Hotel had attached parking. Little tricky to get back into the hotel.
Disliked: Only complaint was it was like a scavenger hunt to find an ice mchine. Got misdirected twice by hotel staff before I found on two floors up.

Exceptional

Liked: Pasadena hotel was catering to LA fire victims. Very hospitable.

Great sleep, good location.

Liked: Bed is extremely comfortable! Everyone is lovely and efficient. I wish the room were a bit bigger, it's mostly a corridor around the king-sized bed, but I can't really complain, it's well designed and the staff are friendly and helpful. We're escaping a fire zone so honestly we're just exceptionally grateful to feel welcomed and safe somewhere that has an uplifting feeling.
Disliked: See above.
