Restful short break in a...
Liked: Marta was a genuinely warm and welcoming hostess. Parva was easy to find and well located. The room was spacious warm and comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was beautifully warm with heated towel rail that was on, and again plenty of space. There is a lounge for guests to use which is great. The breakfast was exceptionally good, plenty of it with a great range of options, I was tempted by everything! The fruit compote was delicious and the fried breakfast perfectly cooked and all beautifully presented.

A pleasant stay in a...
Liked: The location is amazing, right by the river. The owner, Marta, is super friendly and helpful. Food is lovely, both the evening meal and breakfast. Comfy room and modern bathroom with shower.
Disliked: Parking very busy, and the drive out onto the road is pretty dangerous due to lack of view. The outside of the property needs some decorating as it lets down what’s inside.

Excellent place to stay right...
Liked: We liked being able to come back and fore as required all evening. The only hotel in the village where you can sit right on the bank of the River Wye, away from the worst of the traffic in the village centre. It was very warm throughout the whole building. Felt like home. They had an honesty bar, but we had already been in three pubs on the way! Very well lit and welcoming with stunning architecture and views across the fields. Even with the old windows, the sound of traffic was minimal - and we loved having a Hollybush full of birds right outside! We will definitely be back and choose a river view room next time.
Disliked: Beans need to be included with the breakfast!! Mushrooms were amazing. Bacon was a little fatty but really well cooked and lovely and crunchy. Struggled to cut the sausages with the knives. More than one slice of toast please because it was quality bread. Tea and coffee was very nice. A wider selection of cereals like Crunchy Nut, Special K, or Coco Pops would be good. The whole set up was very posh. Only issue with the room was the duvet being very loud - kept us up a lot of the night. Please change bedcovers for something quieter.

Spectacular location, good value for...
Liked: Spectacular location, good value for money, cosy room with a very friendly staff. Highly recommended place for a short romantic stay.
Disliked: The address on Booking.com (Monmouth Road, Tintern, NP16 6SQ) is incorrect! Which made finding the property very difficult. I recommend using Google instead.

Friendly hosts, lovely room, delicious...
Liked: Parking was available. The breakfast was delicious. The room was lovely and warm on a cold February stay. Bedding was dreamy.
Disliked: Our floor boards creaked when walking through the room, it’s an old building so it’s to be expected.
