Liked: Was able to park my car with cameras in area. Close to shops. Good sized bed!
Disliked: It didnt look the same as photo! misleading! very dated needs upgrading! & steep steps to Room! shower over bath - not ideal. & Forgot to put on top sheet -glad Reception Manager got resolved thou!

Very good, I was impressed...

Liked: The room was a very good size, had all the facilities one would expect, and had lovely soft carpet.
Disliked: There was nowhere to store clothing. What appeared to be a wardrobe was locked or stuck and I wasn’t able to open it. My biggest gripe was the curtains - lovely and thick but for some strange reason installed too far to the left. This left a sizeable gap on the right which I had to drape a towel over.

Liked: Our host was welcoming, helpful and very friendly. He helped us organise our travel plans and printed out bus routes to help us get around Auckland so that we didn’t have to use our car.Our room was clean and comfortable with a small kitchen area with hob, microwave and fridge, perfect for a short stay.

Liked: It's a quirky castle-like design. Would have been magnificent back in the 80s. The staff were friendly.
Disliked: It's an old motel and so it lacks some simple things like ventilation, especially in the bathroom. The bed mattress was too hard for the wife.
