3 star hotel conveniently located...

Liked: Great midtown and Central Park location even though too touristy. Rooms are soundproofed very well which made for quiet, relaxing sleep.
Disliked: Overall this is not truly a 5 star hotel on any level. It's a conveniently located hotel for weekend in city when you're just using hotel to shower and sleep. Our bathroom wasn't truly "clean". There was a used Qtip on the floor when we first arrived as well as back of toilet was not wiped down/clean. There was also no bathmat for use when getting out of the shower. The pillows were way too soft and caused a severe neck ache after 2 nights using them. Darling, the rooftop bar was young crowd, dark and loud music with average service though our cocktails were quite good.

Liked: The location staff and the view were the best parts of this hotel but the rest doesn’t meet the standards of 4* hotel.
Disliked: The room was extremely outdated, and if it was renovated, the quality of work was terrible. I was given a room near the elevator, which made a loud noise every time it was used, accompanied by noticeable vibrations—very disruptive.We were also disappointed with the Darling restaurant. It looked nothing like the photos online. The windows were so dirty that the advertised view was barely visible, which ruined the experience.Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. If you’re after a stunning view for photos, this hotel might work for you. However, if you’re looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay, I’d recommend avoiding this place.

Disliked: This hotel is far from its glory days. I was shocked to learn it was updated in 2021, as it still feels incredibly dated. The smell and overall atmosphere are nowhere near what you'd expect from a 5-star property. The only redeeming quality is its location.
