Liked: Lovely setting, beautiful hotel.
Disliked: Condition of the windows, need renovation. Also the heating in the room had failed but the staff moved us to another room. So all good.

Nice hotel and room, but...

Disliked: I dont normally leave bad reviews. I spoke to the receptionist about the issues in the bathroom in the morning (I got in late and discovered them in the evening), she asked me to email in the pics I showed her, so they would be forwarded on to management. I emailed them over same day, but heard nothing back at all, hence I decided to share these pics.This was the bathroom of Executive Double room 38 last weekend, I found the condition of the toilet seat and the bath tub completely unacceptable, I couldn’t tell if they simply hadn’t been cleaned or were long term stains, maybe a combination of both, but I dont think either is acceptable really, and as a result I didn’t feel comfortable using either (even for a shower as it would have meant standing in it).I can see from other similar reviews the standard response is ‘we’re undergoing a refurbishment’ but if that means customers should endure a bathroom in this condition in the meantime, then I would give this hotel a swerve. How hard is it to replace a toilet seat and get a scourer out to deep clean the bath?Otherwise, the mattress was *very* soft, I didn’t enjoy that at all, but we could maybe put that down to personal preference; the room otherwise was fine, the hotel overall seemed to be in good condition (which made the state of the bathroom even more puzzling), breakfast was cramped and not really options for vegetarians other than dont have the sausage and the bacon from the self serve buffet.

Disliked: Not a dislike, just a minor issue with the basin taps, they were difficult to turn on and off fully and actually turned to off centre positions!
