Good location near railway station...

Liked: Location was good, decor modern and pleasing and amenities were ok.
Disliked: Room was small with 2 suitcases it was hard to move around the room. It aas warm despite being a cool weather outside, we had to sleep with window open. Beds were not that comfortable they had a plastic under sheet like hospital beds. Lighting in the room was lacking.

Not 4 stars.

Liked: The hotel was located close to the train station and local rail which was handy to get around the town and to get to the airport, the hotel is very quiet but this could just be because we went mid week. The breakfast next day was priced up around €15 each but it’s definitely not worth it because they had the bare minimum on in terms of selection and it was very basic options. It wasn’t even manned or controlled by anyone so we could’ve just walked in after and had breakfast and not been charged a thing so it seemed like a waste of money, there was also only one person coming in to change food options so most things have been sitting there all morning.
Disliked: The hotel itself is situated in a very unusual area. It’s kind of hidden away and is adjacent to a bunch of apartments and is pretty hidden away so you don’t get much of a view no matter what room you’re in also the front of the hotel looks very outdated and could use a bit of a facelift, it was quite dirty and the sign for the name of the hotel didn’t even turn on so it just looked very rundown and my partner was very hesitant when we walked up to the hotel after getting off the train on the evening. The lobby itself looks quite beautiful, which is strange considering the outside so only from the inside does it appear to be a 4 star.. but when you go up to the rooms it’s totally different story ..the rooms are very small and the shower and toilet was in a room that would never sue someone of a large stature. I am 5”4 and slim and even I had trouble getting in and out of the shower or going to the bathroom. The room we got was quite small it had a double bed, which was taking up pretty much most of the room and the room was only equipped with a fan for air-conditioning and only one window would open. It was pretty hot the days we were there so trying to sleep was quite difficult with no air-conditioning, which should be standard in a modern hotel that rated itself four stars. The lack of attention to detail in the room was also very apparent as the mini fridge contain just one bottle of sparkling water priced at €4.50 and there was no fresh Stillwater available in the room, and we did not use the water from the sink in the bathroom because the sink and shower faucet were covered in mildew and buildup of limescale which had not been cleaned. We asked for ice one night and when I went downstairs to get it, the receptionist brought me into the kitchen and handed me a plate and filled up the plate from the ice machine in the kitchen rather than just get me a book of ice which was really unusual. I don’t think much care is being taken about the whole hotel.
