First visit, but not last. Good first impressions. Excellent welcome and easy check in. Classic double was very roomy and spotlessly clean with a large bed which was very comfortable. Good sized bathroom with good selection of toiletries, lovely towels and brilliant shower, although shower cubicle could have been a tad bigger, but no complaint. Room nicely decorated and loads of space, drawers and wardrobe. Room extras were excellent with hairdryer, iron and board, plus a good selection of teas and coffees as well as mineral water. Breakfast was great with a good variety of food and drinks. Dishes replaced and topped up regularly. All staff were brilliant, polite, helpful and efficient. We will return and hotel location also ideal for the BIC, Pavilion, beach and town centre. Great parking opposite hotel too. Highly recommended.

Liked: Everything.
Disliked: Nothing.

Nice hotel 29 minutes walk...

Liked: I called reception at about 11.30pm to ask if I could check in at 12.20 as I needed to stay somewhere when I got off the train. The girl was friendly and said no problem it's a 24 hour reception. I made the booking as a result of that flexibility and her answering the phone promptly and sounding chilled out. The hotel I had called just before that hadn't picked up the phone - a human I mean. I liked everything about the hotel.
Disliked: Nothing to say.

Hotel in a great location

Liked: This is our second time staying at this hotel as it is in an excellent location and just a few steps away from the lower gardens and beautiful beach in one direction and a few steps to all the shops in the other direction. We didn’t have a car, and didn’t need one as we could take the local buses to anywhere for £2 (except to the airport - where you need to take a taxi). We stayed in room 308 with a sea view, which was a good size and relatively quiet with the window closed. All the staff we came across were really friendly, polite and helpful and housekeeping did a wonderful job. The cooked breakfast is very good plus a continental breakfast choice is provided.
Disliked: The bathroom sink is way too small and there is only a tiny glass shelf to put your toiletries on. There is no cup or glass to place your toothbrush/toothpaste. The bath was very deep and slippery with no grab handles and with an overhead rain shower which was not detachable and a bit difficult to get the water to the right temperature. I asked for a rubber bath mat which was immediately brought up to the room. A few hooks are needed to hang up wet towels, especially if you go swimming in the sea in the summer. The safety box is really tiny. But in spite of these few things, I would still very much recommend this hotel for its location and welcoming and well-trained staff.
