A disgrace!

Liked: We are very annoyed!! We had booked an apartment at Paradiso, it had been confirmed and we had paid promptly. One week before we were due to arrive Kingscliff accommodation cancelled our booking saying they had double booked the apartment! They offered us another apartment for $400 extra which we angrily refused. They would not allow us to take up the apartment we had paid for. We already had made many arrangements around our visit to our 93 year old mother so needed the accommodation
Disliked: The management of kingscliff accomodation booked us another lesser apartment at Bogangar a long way from where we had to be staying however Paradiso did not refund any money from the more upmarket apartment.

It's a great location right...

Liked: Location is perfect for shops, beach, restaurants, pubs & clubs.
Disliked: Single beds very soft & bed shifted each time rolled over as wheels slid on floors. Very little natural light, furnishing quite dated & showing wear. The block is looking a little tired - 2 sets of keys sometimes didn't work on swiping & one evening ourselves and another guest could not get into the main door after trying 3 sets of swipe tags & needed to contact security

Dirty and overpriced

Liked: The only positive to this hotel was the location. You may as well bring your own vacuum and bleach because the apartment was absolutely filthy. The amount of food between the couch cushions was beyond disgusting and don’t even look behind or under the beds. The bathroom was again dirty and the shower head held up with electrical tape. The sliding doors to the balcony were so stiff and heavy that unless you were young and strong there was no way to open them. The 3rd bedroom is not really a bedroom with sliding shutters, no privacy and the most uncomfortable beds. Aircon only in 1 bedroom. All the furniture appeared so old and if it was all bought off marketplace. A large part of timber on the balcony railing had rotted away. For the cost of this hotel I would NOT be staying here. Extremely disappointed.

I will never stay in...

Liked: I have stayed in one of the apartments here before. It was at the front of the building facing the beach. There was a lovely veranda with comfortable chairs. Also access to the rooftop. The rooms were comfortable and inviting. Sunny and welcoming. There was plenty of facilities. Location was great!
Disliked: We stayed in Unit 222. It was dark, dull and badly equipped. We were 3 women meeting with a friend. We would have liked a sharp knife to cut our fruit. Other kitchen facilities were meagre. There was a very tiny veranda which faced the noisy road at the back of the building. Access was in the double bedroom. There were no cushions on the wooden chairs in the small front area which faced onto the stair area. It all looked as though no one had been there for a very long time. Dreary. My single bed was very uncomfortable. The others said their beds were OK.

It was ok

Liked: Was disappointed with the room setup there was very little toilet paper and I had to buy my own as there is no staff to talk to

We had a great weekend,...

Liked: The location was great and the view amazing.
Disliked: Unfortunately our room was not clean and smelt very mouldy. There was mould on the main bathroom door, on the blinds in the main bedroom, unfortunately all of the doonas on the beds were not clean. The laundry room had mould and looked like there was a water leak. We didn’t use it.The key system was not an easy system and they didn’t always work. There was no one on site from 4pm Friday until Monday morning for any problem that may occur.

Central location, clean with large...

Liked: Large rooms, with large outdoor area. Everything was perfect as it’s so central.

Shit

Liked: I was very disappointed as we arrived 10:30 and were extremely tired we were not able to get into property with code. We didn’t get in till after 12 so technically only stayed Thursday Friday. When I phoned someone she had no idea how we could in and was useless. She took over 1/2 hour to call back. Very disappointed
Disliked: How dark the room was.
