It's peaceful but not extravagant.
Liked: I liked that we were right on the water! The views were beautiful. The beds were comfy. All the kayaks and snorkel gear were great. We came for my husband's 40th. We were disappointed at first, but as the week went on, the resort grew on us.
Disliked: The room we had wasn't updated. Our deck had a huge bump from 2 boards coming up that we all tripped on a lot. Ants were kind of a pain in the butt to deal with in the kitchen area. Parking was really tight, especially if you get in late at night. The photos I saw from when I booked it were not what we got.

Staff needs some work and...
Liked: It’s a very quiet location. The floating dock was a nice bonus.
Disliked: We have a few things. My wife was injured on the property due to staff negligence. We notified staff and they explained that they would have the resort manager contact us, the manager never reached out or apologized. Then, a few days later the staff were cutting dead palm leaves and one hit me in the head. Staff did not apologize or check on my status. We also had a water leak in or room that was not remedied or acknowledged when we notified staff.

Paradise for sure
Liked: Paradise Bay is definitely paradise! We had one of the Mountain View apartments and enjoyed a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony with views of the lovely, carefully maintained gardens, the mountains and even the ocean. If you like a quiet location with lots of beautiful nature surrounding you, combined with true Aloha Spirit this is the place to be: Everyone made us feel really welcome and the stuff was always very helpful. We loved the kayak tour, the live music, the coffee, everything. You couldn't find a better starting point for exploring the beautiful east coast of Ohau - and if you feel like experiencing all the buzz of Honolulu even that isn't far away.
