Nice place to stay

Liked: Nice pool and tennis courts. Bikes and tennis racquets and balls for free was good. Liked the history of the place. Quite a striking building and location.
Disliked: Hadn’t appreciated it was timeshare property-rooms were not made up during our stay.Also, have to say I am 55 and brought the average age of the clientele down somewhat..

Liked: Room was clean and spacious.
Disliked: Extremely disappointed and angry. First, I asked to use a different credit card from the card used to hold the room; a practice that hotels literally worldwide honor without any issue whatsoever. The hotel actually ran the new card for $50.00 demonstrating they KNEW they were to use the NEW card for the room charge. The $50.00 charge showed pending on the card for over a week before it fell off, without being replaced with the final room charge. After some investigation, I discovered that they ignored my request to use the new card and instead used the original card for the final room charge. I am furious.Further, when the room was initially booked through Booking.com, we requested check-in between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. I was informed that if there was any problem with the request, I would be notified. Having received no notification or indication from the hotel that early check in was a problem, we arrived believing that we'd be able to check in upon arrival. We wound up waiting for 2 1/2 HOURS to check in.Lastly, and problematically, there is no ramp outside of the main entrance of the hotel; only flights of stairs. Not only is this a horrendous inconvenience (at best), it is also in (reportable) violation of the ADA, a federal law. When we were told by staff that "Well, most people just use the elevator in the parking garage", my question was, "What about people who don't travel here by car?" Suffice it to say, we will not be returning to this property.
