We had a trip away...

Liked: It’s location and it’s car park. Also the cooked breakfast was good and the food in the Lounge was good.
Disliked: It is dated and needs a complete upgrade. We could hear people above us because the floors creaked a lot and we would be annoying the people who were below us. Also the staff in the lounge didn’t approach guests to take their orders. They waited by the till and you had to go up and order. This happened when it wasn’t busy. It’s proactive customer service to approach guests and check they are alright and see if they want to order drinks and food. You’re definitely missing a lot of orders by just standing there or walking off to look busy.

Liked: Brilliant weekend loved my stay over the 3days location great hotel credit to all ..breakfast was outstanding..can't fault anything will be using the hotel in future...well done to all concerned
Disliked: Nothing to report...only comment i will say is maybe a lock up room if leaving luggage behind for security. I left my bags in restaurant entry but wasn't a problem..as I picked my bags up later in the day ..but overall outstanding

Pleasant but could have been...

Liked: Nice hotel, pleasant staff. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was nice.
Disliked: Creaking floorboards. So could hear other guests walking about during the night. Lack of ability to control room temperature. Bedroom was too hot which created disturbed sleep.

Liked: Beautiful hotel in an ideal location. Clean. Most staff helpful
Disliked: The cold shower. Twice we tried to use the shower and the water was cold. Looked like bathroom had had previous flooding issues as some damage to flooring and sink unit. 1 staff member at breakfast didn't seem to want to be there, brought my breakfast not advising the plate was red hot and no offer of condiments like I heard other staff offering

First class stay.

Liked: Room clean and tidy. Quiet. Very comfortable twin beds. Breakfast was very good. Good choice of breakfast foods. Well presented tables with tablecloths mimicking original linen. Staff member helped a lady from her chair and retrieved her walking stick for her.
Disliked: Room was a little too warm.
