Liked: We stayed 3 nights the drainage smell in floor 4 was too bad. Plus trump noise was very bad we could’d sleep. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The price was very high for my expectation.

Excellent location, fabulous room, but...

Liked: Breakfast was great - food-wise and service-wise. Room was spacious, luxurious and very comfortable. Quiet too considering it is on a busy street. Staff polite.
Disliked: Service overall was a bit disappointing in comparison to other 5 star hotels we have stayed in. They were willing to accommodate requests only for hefty additional costs, which we thought unacceptable particularly given that the Spa was unavailable during our stay. The reception is all the way at the top of the hotel and lift wasn’t always available quickly. There were misunderstandings (miscommunications?) between staff on the ground floor and upstairs on the 5th. We were told to go upstairs so someone could show us to our room, only to have him take us to back to the lift. The next day we were locked out of our room and had to go upstairs for another key. 5 star hotels should function more seamlessly.

Super attentive staff in a...

Liked: In the heart of town very very close to Teattro Alla Scala which was our proirity. The staff were excellent and very kind. I fell on my first night and the bellhops and doormen were extremely helpful getting us a first aid kit. Bravo!
Disliked: We rented an Avis car and when we dropped the car off before checking in. We never valet the car with the hotel or anything so Avis said get the hotel to settled the bill for us. On the day we checked in, I brought it up. The concierge didn’t act with speed and seemed to say it was no importance. When we checked out two days later, suddenly I have to open accounts with the civil traffic authorities and pay a late charge of €22 euro since I had missed the 24-hour payment. Had I left it longer than a week, it would have been €75. This took a further three days to sort out in my absence as the concierge’s ineptitude made me late for my airline check-in. Palazzo Cordusio, can you please educate your concierge’s in this procedure? So it’s is taken care of on Day One of our stay and not a mad scramble when we checked out. This was the most disappointing thing.
