Liked it, would stay again.
Liked: The house itself, the location, and the staff is top notch.
Disliked: I’m not really sure if the rooms are 5 star rooms. Don’t get me wrong, the beds are great and the view is nice, but the interior is a little sparse.

Beautiful historical hotel near the...
Liked: We loved the fact that the hotel was soclose to the zocalo and every little shop you can think of including coffee. Breakfast was provided which they had good choices. Staff were amazing. Our rooms had a fabulous view. Towels and toiletries were good. Pillows and mattress were comfortable. We all slept good. I had reserved two rooms. We left another hotel as we did not have a good experience. We found this and walked over in the morning and they were able to accommodate us immediately instead of having to wait til 3pm to check in. Now that’s customer service! They even greeted us with fresh lemonade with anise upon check in :)
Disliked: I was expecting some drawers to put away our clothes and there wasn’t. There was a built in closet with minimal space to put the clothes on the shelf and not enough hangers for two people. I wish there were more hooks to hang bath towels to dry or to hang our coats and purses when you walk into the room. The beddings were beautiful, nice white and crisp. I don’t like putting luggage on the bed and I suggest that luggage racks are provided or at least one to help unpack and then put away. A small ottoman is in the room, but it is not big enough if you have a very large luggage to lay on. When you walk into the hotel, there appears to be two areas as a lobby. One that seemed to be opulent had a grand baby piano. I wish there were more furnishings in this area for relaxation and meeting your fellow friends or family. There are sections of the hotel that appears to be art galleries. We wandered into the spaces but had no idea what we were looking at. Perhaps maybe they could post signage about the art and artists. The breakfast room was set up oddly. There’s an area where seating was one long bench against the wall with several two top person tables. They were placed so close together that if you have several different party seated, the person that was not sitting on the bench would have to get up and move the table forward in order for that guest to get up and exit. I suggest a different layout for the breakfast area. Also, the hotel has history!! This should be displayed or emphasized.

Very good
Liked: Stylish renovation of elegant palace in great location. Nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Disliked: The bedrooms are in a new build section at rear. My room had no external window and was small, dark and low ceiling. There was continuous loud piano music from speakers outside my room playing at high volume.

Good location, service need to...
Liked: The main building is amazing, the halls have impressive lighting and details everywhere that made you feel on the 1800s. Also the location was amazing
Disliked: We got woken up the first morning by the housekeeper at 8.30, we complain in the main desk and the next day was the same :(. Also the extension of the hotel compared with the main building I would say doesn’t mach, it’s clean and relatively new, but it’s other level compared with the original building

First class stay in Puebla
Liked: The service was first class. The hotel is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained boutique hotels we have ever seen (we have seen a few in Cartagena and other similar places), it has been renovated with great care and taste. Beautiful works of art throughout the hotel and even an art gallery near the lobby. The hotel made our experience in Puebla reach another level and we decided to stay one more night. Special thanks to the reception team and the gentleman who received us and delivered the car.
Disliked: Nothing
