Liked: Oysterfleet was a very pleasant surprise and a delight to stay in. Cannot overstate the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff and positive attitude.
Disliked: Only minor grumble was the televisions in the room, could have been bigger to help those with sight problems read what they are actually looking for.

Very good

Liked: Quiet, large room, wonderful staff and good heaters in the room. Lively bar downstairs
Disliked: The room smelled of food when we came in and again early the next morning. It wasn't particularly pleasant but was ok after the windows were left open for a while.

Disliked: Receptionist not very friendly, asked for id which may well be policy these days but we have never been asked before. I said we would have brought it had we known. I also said the lady I spoke to at the hotel could probably have forewarned me about the new policy, the receptionist told me I hadn’t spoken to anyone at the hotel, which was a touch annoying considering I had done so on two occasions. The room looks like it may have been a cupboard at some point, it had twin beds with less than a meter between them. The shower was good but almost a waste of time as the shower tray didn’t drain quick enough and would have overflowed if I hadn’t turned if off after about 1 1/2 minutes. Luckily the beds and bedding were comfortable or the ratings I have given would have been as low as possible. There doesn’t seem to be many hotels on Canvey, if there was the oyster fleet would soon be out of customers.
