Worst stay : avoid !...
Liked: Location was good. Also the girl who was there in mornings was lovely, think she was new and apologetic of set up.
Disliked: As a well travelled family, this has to be one of the worst experiences and I’ve never had to write a poor review but feel this might save over people wasting money and valuable weekend away time. Arrival : No real presence, the hotel is really run down and tired and no reflection to the photographs.Breakfast: not set up, boxes on floor, 2nd morning they were setting up for a wedding tables covered in flowers but no regard to other guests staying. No cereals, fruit juices etc. Rooms : tired, fairly clean but areas of thick dust, glasses not clean. No room refresh to ensure bins empty or need for fresh towels/top up of tea tray which hotels do provide for longer than 2 night stays.Lastly and more concerning we came back to a staff member crying on stairs, to then find her and other guests shouting and arguing outside our room in stairs 30 mins later, we had to go past this to get other staff to come and sort. I asked for management name or owner to be told I had to leave my details for them to contact me, never in any organization does this happen, there should be a contact person. To this date no one has contacted us to follow up from this aggressive incident, had it it not been so late at night we would have moved to another hotel. As in other reviews, my husband went to go for an early morning run & found front door locked and couldn’t get out, eventually found a side door to get out, again never in all our hotel stays have we found this, there is always a night concierge, to make sure all guests are safe especially in the event of a fire or any situation such as what we experienced. Altogether awful stay.

A disaster.
Liked: The receptionist was nice but it turns out she forgot to give me details of how to enter the building later when it was locked up (at 10.55pm) and nobody answered the out of hours number posted on the front door. I rang it for half an hour!
Disliked: The fact that I was locked out overnight! My belongings were in there and I was prevented from accessing them and sleeping there, which is what I needed after a 6 hour journey and another the following day. Had to look elsewhere but one nearby fully booked so struck lucky with The City Arms at 11.40pm. Apology and refund offered by receptionist in the morning but the owner, Aristos Aristodemou, has subsequently refused, making a distressing situation even worse! Disgraceful treatment and dire customer service. OYO has been useless too.
