A lovely location to stay

Liked: The room I had was lovely and spacious and had great views into the square. It was very tastefully decorated. The bathroom was lovely and warm, all the time, because of the heated towel rail and I particularly liked the open old brickwork behind the washbasin. Its a great location within Stokesley town and therefore close to lots of shops, restaurants etc. The staff were all great, very helpful and accommodating.
Disliked: The room was located immediately above the bar and therefore quite noisy when it was open, but it didnt impact on my stay. It is an old building and therefore quite chilly but i was staying in winter so probably to be expected. The lighting in the bathroom was automatic and remained on for quite some time which at night was a bit if a nuisance unless you closed the door.

Disliked: The hotel is not at all welcoming. Very dated . Needs a complete overall to meet todays standards.

Lovely welcome to a lovely...

Liked: A second stay in as many weeks, Liam is a real gem in welcoming you. It's a beautiful old building right in the heart of town, easy parking and lovely rooms - quirky and very comfortable. Great bathrooms with good quality towels and products.
Disliked: Nothing really - the corridors could do with sprucing up a bit but I think that's a work in progress.

Liked: Check in was fast, bed was comfortable with plenty of sockets in the room.
Disliked: Breakfast option.

Liked: Liam on reception was lovely. Nice room, very comfy bed and super spacious bathroom.
Disliked: No real complaints at all.

Good location

Liked: Good/quiet location and efficient checking in/out (didn't do on line) well heated room with additional heater if required.
Disliked: Black mould in shower, nowhere to put own toiletries in shower or in bathroom/wash basin.I felt it was slightly overpriced for the standard of room and facilities
