Liked: The place is a bit dated, but this is what makes its charm. The room was incredibly spacious and the furniture had a lovely style. Everything was clean and the staff was helpful. We give it a 10 without any hesitations.

One night solo travel. Poor...

Liked: Comfortable bed.Decent shower.Spacious room.Good location.Friendly staff.
Disliked: Quite outdated, felt like I had travelled back in time. Not so much in the decor (each to our own taste) but everything felt very old. WiFi was terrible and I had planned to do some work that evening so was disappointed.

Liked: The manager on site was welcoming and also allowed us to use the car parking spot for a few hours after check out
Disliked: There are lots of vintage pieces dotting the different rooms in this hotel however the place is in quite a state of neglect. The door to the closet has broken hinges, the lamps on either side of the bed didn't work (one was clearly plugged in but not working, the other's plug was hidden behind the bed and so no idea how one would even turn it on/off), plaster peeling from the roof, the shower head was in desperate need of a good cleaning / repair, the shower area had some evidence of mold collecting in the corners. The toilet flush also needs fixing.We figured we would just get through the night - just needed to sleep right? The mattress was just terribly saggy with springs poking through into our backs, and the pillows quite uncomfortably flattened - we ended up unable to sleep fitfully and woke up with aching bodies. When you pay this much for a night (more than I paid per night in any other tourist heavy destination this past week), the very least I would expect is to be able to sleep and shower well. Might be too much to ask.

Liked: Easy access to bath either by or bus ,Room was comfortable. Liked the old architecture. Had a problem with the shower the owner sorted out the problem quickly
