All in all a nice...

Liked: We are a bit torn to write a review about Ovolo, because we had amazing aspects and bad aspects during our stay. First of all: The crew at reception is amazing and go more than the extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. It is super convenient to order food and everything else you may need (refill for tea, towels and such) to your room. There even is a bathroom Butler and more creative ideas to surprise you. The warft is amazing to stay in, many nice places in walking distance and great restaurants inside too. The Ovolo bar is nice aswell and offers a surprisingly creative choice of breakfast dishes. The Hotel is quite stylish and offers cool possibilities to spend your time like a pool table and little arcade tables. The rooms are really spacious. To get a coffee from the barista and walk around the pier in the morning is so amazing. Also the Potts Point Bookstore and Botanical Garden is nearby :) Swimming pool is pretty and laundry service is also a big plus. Late Check-out was possible free of charge, which was also great as we had a late flight.
Disliked: The first room we got wasn't clean, the air-con was really loud and the bathroom more than outdated with a metal piece sticking out the shower. We were switched to another room. That room was really nice and we highly appreciate the team who made this possible and even offered us breakfast for our inconvinience. The appliances are a bit older in general so you have to use a lot of force to close them/that the water doesn't continue running/dripping (being from Portugal we are really concious about water) It is a long way to laundry and the swimming pool, which could be an issue for people who are having difficulties with walking. We also had some problems with our bill. After checkout everything was fine, then we got another bill with basically the whole Mini Bar. We wrote immediately and got our money back a week later. So all in all there were solutions to everything, which we highly appreciate, but there shouldn't be so many things that need a solution in a hotel in this category.

Great stay at Woolloomooloo!

Liked: Just superb, from check-in to checking out and a perfect place to stay for going to Handa Opera. Secure parking nearby give $35 overnight self parking. Ovolo bar is good for pre- dinner drinks and nearby restaurants are within walking distance.
