Pleasant motel with helpful staff

Liked: Location just an hour from Wellington helped as shortened our travel time yet easy access to Wellington the following day . Although close to highway we were not troubled by road noise which the motel has addressed. Although an older perhaps 1960s original build the shower was a recent renovation and kitchen facilities good though the kitchen is small . Hosts helpful.
Disliked: Fine as is. Google maps needed the words Otaki Motel as well as the street address with which it did not cope I think because of re design of the local roading.

Liked: Modern bathroom, very comfortable bed, good linen & towels. Can see the owners are upgrading as they can afford. Good location for an overnight stop coming off ferry or going to ferry.
Disliked: Very old and tired, with just a bit more effort they could tidy front of units with a good clean and planting same as rear of buildings. The buildings could look so much better with a bit of effort and would give a much better “ first” impression.Have nice modern bathroom but lots of bugs everywhere mostly dead so need to keep on top of that.

Liked: Clean and adequate. We arrived late and left early. Bed comfortable and there was everything there that we needed. Close to the Motorway.
Disliked: Was a bit dated.

Liked: Super clean and tidy, cheap and cheerful, friendly owners. Really good value for money. Right in town and walking distance to the milk station venue.
