Lovely place in a pretty...

Liked: Beautiful property with gorgeous grounds, good food and nice staff.
Disliked: It is showing it’s age a little and couple use a spruce up to spa and rooms. The spa facilities were basic and it is over priced for a stay and food in the fine dining restaurant.

Disliked: Spa wasn’t as clean as should be. Toilets all flooded. Seemed to be a regular thing. Wasn’t as good value as when stayed last time. Needs to keep up standards if they want people to pay more.

Great stay in a beautiful...

Liked: The building is beautifully historic, making it the perfect romantic getaway.The staff at reception, spa, bar and restaurant were all incredibly welcoming and friendly.We loved the size of the four poster bedroom, it was very special and made us feel like we had gone back in time.You have to look past the creaky floorboards, old single glazed windows and dated bathroom as guests should realise it’s an old building and we certainly never see this negatively. I woke up early and watched the sunrise from our bedroom window, and I wished I could stay forever.
Disliked: The only single grumble is that the spa changing rooms were rather unclean and this is a shame considering how beautiful the reception area is as your first impression.
