Nice location and at the...
Liked: Breakfast was good, we like the buffet as we could choose what and how much we needed. The location of our room was quite .
Disliked: The rooms was nice, but wished the entrance to them was not though the café. Maybe a different entrance could be better. The rooms behind the cafe was not made clear enough at reception and was not explained what to look for...ie café and go though to them.

It was pretty average
Liked: I liked the beautiful location
Disliked: Check in - was very awkward and not very personable. Told to scan qr code and fill in while 2 staff receptionists chatted amongst themselves. There was some kind of fire sprinkler green light in the room on ceiling and at night was like a ufo was landing in the room. It lit up half the room and kept me awake almost all night, I had a competition to be up early for which was awful after the light in my face all night.

Classy hotel
Liked: Bed was comefy, room was very nice. Good food and the grounds are lovely.
Disliked: Kettle was leaking, which was potentially dangerous, and the green LED emergancy lighting in the room was way too bright. It was glowing the room up, which affected my sleep.

Superb
Liked: Jessie is a great listener, polite, understanding, and supportive. Spa receptionist on Saturday evening, a great customer service receptionist. She was friendly, polite, helpful, and patient.Isobelle, the BEST massage therapist I ever had or received. Environment and room- peaceful and comfortable.Facilities (Spa, Sauna etc) complete my stay.
Disliked: I was respected and listened to regarding the challenges I initially had. It was resolved. I have no complaints.

Lovely premises and event, but...
Liked: Spacious room with views over the garden and nicely decorated room and bathroom.We were attending a function and the dinner served at it was excellent.Gardens are lovely, but we didn't have time to enjoy them this year.
Disliked: The mattress on the bed was not high quality, especially in a hotel of this calibre - every movement of either me or my partner could be felt by each of us during the night and it was too soft. There was a section of the rim/edge of the bed that felt different to the rest. when sitting on it ...not sure why.The lighting in the room could do with improving - no light by the dressing table/mirror, no central light, just 2 wall bedside lights in the room itself. A plug socket near the full length mirror would be advantageous, due to the lighting, for drying hair.A light above the shower cubicle would also be beneficial, and in a superior double, I would have expected a large walk in shower, not a small cubicle, especially when there was space to put a large rectangular shower tray in! The shower was overhead rainfall only - again, there should be a handheld option for rinsing down and those who do not want to get drenched! (I had to request a shower cap. which was brought quickly, but should have been there in the first place)2 chairs to relax in rather than one would have been more sensible than 1.
