Liked: Love the grounds and the feel. We loved having a fire at night in our room.
Disliked: How far some of the buildings were.

Festive atmosphere for the Thanksgiving...

Liked: Festive atmosphere with the holiday lights which were fun! Room was nice with fire burning in fireplace and television on upon our arrival. Dinner was delicious and plenty of food as well.
Disliked: Expected restaurant to be busy, but I had trouble placing a takeout order to bring back to our room. Finally had to go to the lounge to place the order, and I have to say that it was a nice relaxing environs compared with the restaurant which felt a little hectic. It was Thanksgiving though so I wouldn't count it against them as we have stayed before and service has always been wonderful.

Liked: Beautiful building and grounds. Room was very nicely furnished and appointed. Spa services were excellent.
Disliked: Had dinner at the Garden View Restaurant on the grounds and ordered a $45 rib eye steak. It was not good. Mine was a very thin slice of meat, I asked for rare a med rare but it was cooked medium. Very hard to cut, hard to chew, dry and tasteless. My friend ordered the same thing and even though her steak was a bit thicker, she had the same complaints. We should have said something but we are not the kind of people to complain, so we left quite a bit of meat on our plate. The sides we ordered were good.

Disliked: Not completely done house keeping work, but quickly replaced all needs.

Liked: First visit to OGR - lovely resort, spacious & comfortable room and by far the best shower I've ever experienced. We loved our visit & booked a return stay to enjoy the Christmas lights. Thank you for a great first experience.
