Excellent stay with superb location

Liked: Excellent location with cable car stop right on the corner of the street. Staff very friendly, courteous and professional. Lovely touch of coffee being in the room and the water refill in the lobby was amazing. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend The Orchard
Disliked: The only very minor point is that the room was quite dark. There was not much light from the window but that may be where our room was located so needed to turn all the lights on.

Good location good value but...

Liked: Convenient location. Close to the union square but did not have all the noises. Cleaning is good. We got what we expected.
Disliked: The way they use your credit card. Try find other ways to secure for the stay. They authorize your credit card for the whole stay. And then they charge another whole stay at the end of your stay. I hope it will eventually will be released but it is absurd that you cannot use that amount during your vacation.

Excellent hotel and great location

Liked: The Orchard Hotel was an ideal location, only a couple of blocks from Union Square. It is uphill from Powell St BART station but taking it steady was fine. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean, spacious and the bed comfortable. We would certainly go back again.
Disliked: All was good.
