Disliked: I couldn’t wait to stay at the hotel. I’ve longed to partake and check out the hotel. We came with friends and went to ice castles, we had a lovely dinner at the hotel and a sleigh ride. Our room was definitely not what I expected. The bathroom had wet/stained ceiling tiles, and a moldy rotted baseboard, the sink was pulling away from the wall and everting was dusty. I realize it’s an old hotel. And overall the place is gorgeous. We certainly had a lovely time. The room just didn’t meet my expectations for the overall cost. I do have photos, no need to shares them with the general public.

Liked: We always stay at this hotel when visiting the ski resort. If you're planning to go to Bretton Woods Ski Resort, this is probably the most convenient option. The sweet, hot drinks and cookies served at the 4 PM check-in time were fantastic, and the complimentary drink vouchers provided during the stay were a nice touch. We didn’t use the shuttle bus to the ski resort, but that’s definitely another great perk of this hotel. Most of the staff were very friendly. We had trouble sleeping on the first night due to noise from the room above, but the front desk staff upgraded our room, and we slept great on the second night. The shuttle bus driver and the staff at the entrance were also incredibly kind and helpful.
Disliked: The worst part was that they started charging for parking. The lot closest to the hotel costs around $20 per day (not so sure), while the free parking lot is quite far, requiring a shuttle ride. It feels ridiculous to pay for parking at a hotel in the middle of nowhere. The hotel restaurants are quite expensive, and if you’re staying for a while, the limited dining options and high food costs can be a burden. One of the reasons we used to stay here was the discounted lift tickets for guests, but if you buy your tickets in advance, this perk is no longer an advantage. (The staff didn’t properly explain the changes to the lift ticket system, so we ended up paying more than we should have.)To make matters worse, the indoor pool with a jacuzzi was closed. I think I’ll start considering other options for my next trip.
