Liked: This was a quaint little hotel on the outskirts of Estes Park, CO. The owner Todd communicated with us in a very timely manner, was wonderful at providing information for Estes Park, and Great Rocky Mountain National Park. He was so kind, often asking us if there was anything we needed. Very knowledgeable about the area! This was a last-minute trip for us to Estes Park, and we only stayed 2 nights. The chairs and small table on the veranda were so nice, it was wonderful to be able to sit in the cool fresh air in the morning and the evening. The noise from the highway calms down later in the evening, so there was no problem sleeping. The owner was so kind to my service dog, even brought her some treats, and she loved them! Normally we stay in newer condos, homes, cabins, etc.... thus perhaps the slightly lower rating for this property. The property is old, is showing its age. This isn't a property I would likely return to, but this may be a moot point as we understand that Todd has the property on the market for sale. I can imagine how grand the hotel was back in its hay day!
Disliked: The linens and towels are showing some age, wear & tear, a bit discoloration, etc.....The comfort of the bed was just OK, on my side of the bed there was a pretty noticeable dip in the mattress. The hot water was an interesting journey into either being scalded or freezing even your goosebumps off. General upkeep could use some TLC, painting, new window screens, and floor of shower. I'm not sure if the owner shares this information with everyone, but he indicated that they had been the owners for the past 17 years, that the hotel was on the market, and has a buyer under contract. That being said, if I were in his place I likely wouldn't put new money into fixing old problems of the units. It certainly wasn't the standard I would normally select, but this was a last-minute trip for us to Estes Park. We had been in Stanley, Idaho and had to leave a lovely cabin on the river due to the wildfires burning so closely to the town. So, considering I didn't really have time to do much research, and that it was Labor Day weekend, it met our needs.

Liked: I was grateful to have a spot close by, since we stayed out so late. Thank you to the staff for having it clean and ready for us.
Disliked: However, the water barely came out of the bathroom faucet and the water pressure in the shower wasn't much better. I was expecting a little more quality in the whole set up for $190.
