Comfortable, friendly and pleasant stay

Liked: Great location. Big size room.
Disliked: Dated. Needs a bit of investment for a premium room.

Liked: It was a good location
Disliked: It was so very cold uncomfortable night because of it, left at 7.30am

Good, but would have been...

Liked: Nice breakfast. Good sized warm room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Convenient location and short walk into town centre.
Disliked: Breakfast finished too early ( 9.30 ) for Christmas holiday time.Could not open window due to several pigeons almost permanently inside the balcony which was full of pigeon feathers and mess. Would obviously have been a much bigger problem at a time of warm weather. Stronger netting required to keep them out.

OK if you're a Snowman

Liked: The staff were friendly
Disliked: The room was freezing and the heating was locked on 16° so even when it was on it never got warm. The floor was laminate and was very cold to walk on. The bathroom was filthy and the shower was impossible to use. It was an overhead unit that was so encrusted with scale that it spat out in different directions. Add to this the water was lukewarm. We did complain after the first day however nothing was changed after leaving for the day and coming back later. Room was still cold and water was slightly warmer but still impossible to have a decent shower

Well worth the money and

Liked: Breakfast offered all you could require, cooked bacon egg sausage and hashbrowns with beans. Also available was a choice of cereals, toast with tea coffee and juice. Plenty of choice.
Disliked: Few little areas could do with attention but they did not ruin the experience. Simple cosmetic touches would make a difference
