Liked: Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was spotless and kept clean.
Disliked: No lift to reception. Had to walk from 5th floor to 4th floor to get lift. Never worked on 5th floor. The plug for hairdryer was not in reach to the mirror, had to blind dry hair and flex on my straighteners was not long enough to reach mirror

Liked: I stayed at this hotel from 27th February to 1st March and genuinely enjoyed my accommodation. The location is superb – just a 3-minute walk from the train station and within easy walking distance of Edinburgh’s main attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant. The room was comfortable, and everything was well-maintained. Overall, a great place to stay in Edinburgh, and I’d happily return.
Disliked: The only minor issue was the absence of a window with a view, so I’d recommend checking the room description carefully before booking. In fairness, this was mentioned in the listing – I just didn’t pay attention to it!

Liked: great location, just opposites Edinburgh train station and 10mins walk from the Royal Mile. Varied and abundant breakfast, and there`s also a restaurant serving dinner if needed.
Disliked: our room was a little noisy as it was on the main street, but the comfort of the location compensates it :) I would come back again.

Disliked: The decor is dated. The halls and rooms need repainting desperately. Excellent staff food was okay. I realize it’s an old building but needs updates
