Nice accommodation but all aspects...

Disliked: Found restaurant lacking.First choice we ordered on limited menu unavailable,I had a very disappointing steak with many uncooked chips.Very cold in restaurant very expensive for poor quality food.Also at breakfast there were no tables available and had to wait over half an hour to be seated

Beautiful place but would opt...

Liked: The room was comfortable clean and full of character. Breakfast at the Mill was a beautiful setting and an excellent meal. Compliments to the chief on his excellent scrambled eggs.v
Disliked: I was disappointed with our dinner, the menu was the same as we had been offered at lunch and my main course was very small in size, although tasty. Staff at the Swan seemed rather short staff when we arrived and my husband had found his beef sandwich for lunch disappointing. The meat was pink and hard to chew.

Cute country pub/inn. delicious breakfast....

Liked: The breakfast was delicious and the building is stunning, the staff were also extremely friendly and helpful.
Disliked: It was cold, and I the bedrooms were a lot smaller than the pictures on the website. It was expensive for what it is.

Great base for the Cotswolds

For all its good points,...

Liked: To start with the good points. The hotel is located in a beautiful Cotswolds hamlet. Our room and bathroom in terms of decor and general amenities were overall extremely good and immaculately clean. The breakfast was more than acceptable, although the service wasn’t particularly attentive and the restaurant was quite cold, so much so that a number of guests were actually wearing either coats or scarves.
Disliked: Unfortunately they let themselves down very badly in that the bedroom was freezing cold. At first we thought that this was down to them only turning the radiator on when we arrived late afternoon. Given how bad the weather was you’d have expected the room to be of an acceptable temperature on arrival, so not a great start. However, even when the radiator was hot to the touch it made little difference. We eventually established that one of windows was jammed ajar. This isn’t unusual for a property of such grand old age but whereas the other windows in the room had secondary glazing to protect the room from the elements, the main window did not. Whereas there were many things to like we did bring this to their attention before leaving and received zero apologies. Indeed the particular member of staff who checked us out was completely indifferent.
