A shabby room with a...

Liked: The staff were excellent, they were very helpful, kind and caring. The breakfast was very well cooked and presented. Nothing was to much trouble.
Disliked: I knew when I booked that the property was probably in need of a complete refurbishment and this was found to be so but the staff more than made up for this (see comments above).

A gem of a hotel,...

Liked: I have stayed at the Old Rectory four times in the last few weeks, and the staff are unfailingly polite and helpful. The breakfast is excellent.
Disliked: Nothing at all

Disliked: We know it’s a very old building but hated the squeaky floor boards in the bedroom when walking around it . Just hope there wasn’t anyone down below us as we just couldn’t avoid the noise

Exceptional establishment.

Liked: Lovely house and grounds close to town centre and railway station. Great for a quite run in the country before breakfast.Very helpful staff, polite and well mannered. Lovely lounge and dining areas.
Disliked: Coffee at breakfast slightly cold.

Exceptional

An overnight stay with lovely...

Liked: Breakfast was great we both enjoyed the full English. Staff members were polite, friendly and efficient.
Disliked: Our room was not very warm on the night of our stay. We tried turning up the radiator but it did not come on at all. The heating was on the following morning
