With individually styled rooms this impressive Georgian house is set within 3.5 acres of grounds on the edge of the town of Wem. Elegantly furnished rooms reflect the building's character with some boasting antique furniture. All rooms have a private bathroom while many also enjoy views of the beautiful walled gardens. Guests are greeted with a splendid staircase as they enter the Old Rectory. A peaceful conservatory overlooks the flowers lawns and fruit trees in the well-kept gardens. Charming hotel with fabulous staff...

Liked: The staff were all courteous, polite, and helpful. The room was beautiful and clean with amenities for hot drinks, there were also basic toiletries.The breakfast was superb and the hotel itself was beautiful and full of character.
Disliked: The only thing that we found, was that there wasn't much to do in Wem.

Excellent place to stay

Liked: Receptionist was excellent. Fantastic with everything and nothing was a problem for her.

Liked: Beautiful property. Nice & quiet location. Fantastic customer service from girl/lady on reception & in the bar. I ordered some bar food, it was nice.Just needs a bit of a refresh of decor / paint.
