Liked: We loved the comfortable room which had good facilities .It was quiet and staff were very friendly and very accommodating.Food was excellent with excellent service.Location was handy to where we needed to go

Liked: After long journey we arrived at hotel with beautiful gardens and loads flowers still blooming considering we been having bad weather, as we entered bedroom noticed had a noisy fan in bath room and within five minutes owner arrived with new perfect motor "that's what I call service for you", as it got dark they had this beautiful tree must over 30 feet and with lights hanging all around just as you see in their brochures pictures, breakfast was really nice anything we wanted was no problem our last day we requested extra eggs no problem they said, also we were given extra hour instead of vacating at their time 10.00am they said no problem 11am. Unfortunately we didn't have dinner as we spent time with our family but broused through the menu for dinner and was pleasantly surprised of choices, really good had fair selection, perhaps next time. Will not hesitate of going back again thourelly would recommend it
Disliked: After visiting and spending time with our family We were unfortunate that our vehicle broke down and being told by Mercedes Me that it will be hours infact they turned up at 3am so was not able to stay at hotel that night. Shameless service not like our Old Rectory Hotel stay in Crostwick.

It was ok

Liked: The room was clean and comfortable.
Disliked: The entrance/ reception/bar/breakfast areas are very dated. Old smelly carpets everywhere, the furniture in breakfast room was old pine and heavily varnished. Breakfast is served 7-9am, , upon arriving at 8.15 for breakfast all the tables had been cleared and all the chairs removed, preparing for an event, think for a wake, which they seem to cater a lot for. There were just two tables made up for guests. Very unprofessional and unpleasant, surely that could have waited until the customers had finished their breakfast. It felt like you were holding them up. Also no chairs in the very small bar area, which was just off the conservatory, presumably for use during weddings only.
