Altogether good value for money...

Liked: The accommodation was excellent. Our room, overlooking an old mill wheel and stone bridge and looking across the River Avon, was light, modern and comfortable. The location was exceĺlent - quiet, but with a frequent local bus service to the city centre (taking 15 minutes) only five minutes walk away.
Disliked: The breakfast was adequate but rather basic. The restaurant was similar and not open in the evening at weekends. But other good restaurants were within walking distance.

Not a hotel stay i...

Liked: Not a lot of what took place
Disliked: I booked a room at this hotel and checked the temperature gauge of the shower before turning on was turned to hot as did so this came off and hit my phone i had in my other hand. The phone was not in the shower but outside and the heavy solid metal knob hit the only part not covered by my phones protective case, the power button, causing the damage to affect the finger recognition and ultimately cracked the screen frame casing. A very expensive phone now damaged. The manager said the knob on the shower should not have come off, the tooth paste on the sink from the previous tenant should not have been there but he instead decide to argue why i had my phone in the toilet. This is normal these days as we play our music, text, make calls from all sorts of places so i am not sure why he thought this unusual. The carpet was filthy dirty, the chair in the room filthy from stains as well as the furniture and debris from previous tenants also found under the bed base. The manager had to move me for the following night (hotel was full this first night) and said in messages that a move to the superior room and free parking (£10 per night) would be waived as an apology. The superior room shower heat knob once turned also had parts that then fell off, there are rusty shampoo holders in the shower and the toilet holder and under the sink was also disgusting (all are pictured). Then as i left the night duty receptionist told me i should pay the parking, i obviously refused as i was told it waivered but was told i would potentially get fined, so another call to the hotel later than day to ensure it was updated on their system so i was not fined £100 that the night duty receptionist thought it relevant to tell me rather than contact the manager. So zero communicatons left for the night duty manager as well as the awful stay. Breakfast is also not a delight, the danish pastries hard and stale, and the food on offer not exactly appetising.

Very poor hotel

Liked: Rooms very small and dirty. We were put in the side annex which was totally out of date. Window was broken to the room. Breakfast was continental and very poor. Cheese had been left out and was all dried up. There was no mention of continental breakfast at time of booking. Better and more luxurious hotels within a few hundred yards for similar or same price. Will not stay here again

it gave us a place...

Liked: We loved the surroundings esp being by the Mill. It was a great base to visit bath from & staff were very friendly & helpful.
Disliked: The facilities were very basic & rooms were too small as doubles. The heating system needed improvement. It would have been better to offer cooked breakfasts
