A relaxing Elizabethan Manor House which maintains its character and architectural features with a great oak door giving access to the reception. The hotel has 18 rooms with an additional 4 suites available for that extra luxury. Wonderful old Tudor building with...

Liked: Excellent bar and restaurant and really friendly staff. Lovely atmospheric bedrooms with all facilities. Exposed beams everywhere, some creaky floorboards and quirky old doors - keep your head down going through some of them as people were much shorter in the 16th century!! Plenty of parking and good internet connection. Ideal for visiting Symonds Yat, the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley.
Disliked: Nothing!!

Comfortable stay friendly staff lovely...

Liked: The food was lovely and the hotel was steeped in history
Disliked: I asked for the rooms to be close together and they were complete opposite one room was in the old side and one in the new side was a bit disappointed about that.

Good location lovely old building...

Liked: My evening meal I had the lasagne and brownie and it was absolutely flawless and the service was superb
Disliked: The breakfast whilst well presented but the lack of hash browns beans or chopped tomatoes me a little disappointed at the value for money.
