Great service, helpful staff, lovely...

Liked: The restaurant and bar were both excellent. Great food and service.
Disliked: The climb to the second floor was not good. Thankfully the staff helped us with our cases.The bathroom did not have a single surface to put bottles and creams etc. on - just nothing. That was very frustrating. A cabinet to one side of the basin was all that was needed. The bathroom was huge so plenty of space.

We love it here and...

Disliked: Second visit where the large seperate bar area was closed to the public .

Wonderful property, cosy and tasteful...

Liked: Decoration is great, very cosy interior design.Food was very good.Staff was very friendly and willing to help / solution-oriented.Right in the middle of the village, can walk out of the door straight to the river/field walks.
Disliked: The rooms outside the main house are not correctly advertised. The ground floor ones are right outside the parking, you literally have cars right outside your window. We didn't come to Malmesbury to feel like we were on a Tesco car park.Fortunately, the hotel staff worked things out and gave us a room in the main - and absolutely gorgeous - house, which resolved everything.
