Wonderful stay

Liked: All the little touches, a glass of prosecco on arrival and being taken to your room. Good quality tea and coffee and lovely toiletries with bath robes and slippers. A booklet about the history of the hotel and a handwritten note welcoming you to the room. We had the chef's menu with wine and food was great (small portions) lovely waitress who explained everything. Breakfast was also great. A great place for that special occasion.

Liked: Great choice at breakfast. Beautifully decorated bedroom with a very cozy, comfy bed. Superb interior decor throughout. The hotel is lovely and quiet, with some rooms overlooking the abbey.

Disliked: Parking very unclear signage. Loo roll holder hang of the wall and the basin plug hole worn out.

A very special overnight break

Liked: Wonderful welcome with a glass of prosecco and the pleasure of relaxing in the lounge in front of a log fire before dinner. The decor was lovely and the atmosphere very restful, and all the staff were helpful.
