A great stay. It is...
Liked: Location is perfect. The room was spacious. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It has a great cafe - coffee and breakfast were both delicious.
Disliked: Those glass bathroom doors are terrible and a few more hooks for hanging things would be great. Having to deal with parking meters (I'll catch a taxi in next time and just walk/uber from the hotel).

Exceptional
Liked: The lady on reception was so helpful. I think her name was Che. She arranged a taxi for the following morning and managed to pack a few goodies for breakfast as we were leaving at 07.45hrs. We were a little stressed on arrival and tired from our long journey. So thanks so very much for everything you did for us.
Disliked: There was nothing not to like. The room and furnishings were really excellent and the bathroom out of this world. We had a room on the top floor and had the best sleep since our arrival in New Zealand. So quiet.

Great boutique hotel. Would stay...
Liked: Great location and a fun, cool boutique hotel. The rooms were well decorated and had record players with a selection of records which were fun to have. The staff were extremely helpful with arranging taxis, restaurant recommendations, etc.

Disappointing
Liked: The location was good and the staff very friendly.
Disliked: We were "upgraded" to a studio on the first floor. The room was pleasant, but there was no microwave or sink in this studio. The mattress was comfortable, but there was a 6 inch wide wooded ledge around it that served no useful purpose, except as an obstacle to getting in and out of the bed especially in the dark. The ensuite bathroom was immediately opposite the bed-end, but had only glass doors although there was a flimsy curtain. There was a fridge, but it was very close to the head of the bed so noisy in the night. We arrived on a Thursday evening and the lift broke the next morning. It had still not been fixed when we left 2 days later.
