Expected better...

Liked: The rooms were ok, old, basic but ok.
Disliked: For what we paid it is expensive for nothing. But we knew that NYC was not cheap. We stayed at another hotel in NYC (due to last minute changes) almost same price with better rooms and facilities.The area in the evening is a little bit dodgy. I would be super careful for those solo travellers. During the day there were no issues at all.The communication was not great. We sent messages regarding a request, unfortunately it was left pending.

Acceptable for a NYC trip,...

Liked: Well located, big rooms (family suite) for NYC and really friendly staff. The employees were really nice, so that we felt really welcome.
Disliked: The room was really outdated (especially the kitchen cabinets), so the room just felt “old”. Don’t get me wrong, it was clean, but just had that “old” vibe. So you can just say you get, what you pay for. If exploring the city most of the time and just need a place to sleep, it works out. If expexting a cozy place to stay/ planing do spend time in the hotel, I would go somewhere else instead.
