Liked: The property was amazing the staff were really professional and friendly we had an amazing stay !
Disliked: The spa was fantastic the swimming outside was an added bonus . The bedroom was so cosy and comfortable really nice

Absolute luxury, but expect to...

Liked: Very comfortable bedroom which excellent tea/coffee and water facilities in the room.Staff were extremely attentive and professional throughout.Excellent Spa with optional therapeutic treatments available, with a well appointed relaxation room with weighted blankets and a wonderful view across the south downs.Indoor/outdoor heated pool! Fabulous!Access to complementary herbal tea, hot drinks and water.Dinner was exceptionally cooked and beautifully presented.
Disliked: Spa was so busy on Sunday morning that is was difficult to find somewhere to sit.12.5% service charge added to the bill, which was optional, but was added without asking.

Relaxing stay

Liked: Staff were really polite and friendly. The room was nicely decorated with two period windows - we had the cosy room and whilst it felt lovely and cosy on a cold, winter's night, it was by no means small. Nice walk in shower too. The spa facilities were excellent and loved the indoor/outdoor pool. We didn't eat at Ockenden manor but there were some good eating choices just a short walk away from the hotel.
Disliked: When we arrived the spa unfortunately was closed due to unforeseen circumstances however we have been given day passes to return another time and thankfully not living too far away, this was sufficient for us.

A Nice break in a...

Liked: Lovely breakfast and atmosphere was welcoming. Staff very pleasant. Near to the main village area.
Disliked: Unfortunately the spa was closed due to an unfortunate incident. We had booked purposely for going to spa. No compensation or making up for the fact i.e reduction in bill, or complimentary food or a voucher for another day etc. We had to ask whether we could have any compensation and it wasnt forthcoming only the general manager would be in touch, very poor.

A fabulous spa attached to...

Liked: Spa excellent - massage excellent - facilities in spa excellent - staff helpful - even waiter who forgot initially to bring tea - busy but fun. Breakfast good but service variable - tea came quickly as did the porridge but hot dish and toast were separated and slow - pretty good when they arrived - and buffet looked good. Dinner was overpriced in our view - good without being spectacular - just off the edge of world class. Service was good but realised the difficulties where the waitress service was not from professionals
Disliked: Not much. Heating in bedroom but then it was a very cold spell - this is a very good hotel
