Liked: Of course the location was the ultimate, but aside, the rooms are comfortable, beachy, bungalo enhancing the 3 blocks walk to the beach. Amazing shops and coffee everywhere. The owners were very polite and accommodating.

We will not choose to...

Liked: Close to the beach.We liked that the unit was separate. No guests above, below, or beside, therefore, no bothersome noise from other visitors.
Disliked: Design of room was bizarre and very basic. You enter the “great room” which had a queen bed, nightstand, T.V., 2 easy chairs, desk w/ chair, and a credenza which concealed the mini fridge and a chest of drawers. There was a separate space which held another bed, but there was no door, so no privacy. There was a closet, but this had no door, either. Off of this bedroom was the “bathroom.” There was only a toilet and shower in there, NO SINK! If you wanted to wash your hands after using the restroom, shave, or brush your teeth, you had to walk back into that bedroom, through the “great room, and into the “kitchen” area. This was VERY inconvenient, not to mention unsanitary. In the “kitchen” area was a microwave sitting on a little table. This motel unit had only a small plug-in portable space heater that was completely inadequate for mid-February weather in Oceanside. There were just sheets and very thin blankets on the beds. There were no extra blankets available in the room. We had to put on sweatpants/sweatshirts in the middle of the night in order to stay warm. We didn’t shower because the rooms did not get warm enough. While the location was convenient, the traffic noise was very loud during the day and into mid-evening. Things were quiet through the night, however. We opened the blinds for some outdoor light but quickly closed them as the views were very undesirable. The staff were not very friendly.

Liked: Very walkable location. Everything is nearby and close to the beach. Staff/owners were hospitable and kind. Rooms are sufficient.
Disliked: Awkward layout of the rooms makes privacy a challenge. The bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom and there is no door or partition on the bedroom opening for privacy. Parking is very limited.
