Great view; lovely staff, very helpful; bed was a bit small but overall very good would go back. :-)

The Cumberland hotel has nice...

Liked: We were moved to another hotel. The dinner dance was still in the ocean beach hotel. This meant walking to the venue in the high wind and rain.
Disliked: The meal at the dinner dance was ok but the portions were tiny.You really need to do your meals properly or stop completely. It was a very poor attempt!

Liked: Hi, we did not stay at The Ocean Beach Hotel, I received an E-mail whilst I was on the train saying that the hotel was closed due. to staffing levels, therefore we were moved to the sister hotel, The Suncliif which was just next door to The Ocean Beach Spa Hotel, my friend Caroline and I were looking forward to having a Spa on the Monday, which obviously couldnt of happened, as the hotel got closed. also I had booked a twin room at The Ocean Beach and the room we got given at The Suncliff was a double. We went into the restauraunt On Sunday lunchtime, and asked where the carvery was. The Waiter said, there is no carvery, but Sunday dinner is on the menu. I said 'well on the menu in our room, distinctively says Sunday Carvery, also the menu we were given in the restauraunt said there is a Sunday Carvery. which you could choose from 2 meats. but there was no carvery. The waiter who served us, came over to our table before we had even finished our lunch and told us the price of our bill, not even asking if everything was OK, or if we wanted another drink. We found this to be very rude and felt rushed. therefore as planned, we did not stay for a few drinks after our meal.
Disliked: there could have been a fridge in the room.
