Ocean Beach Hotel & Spa - OCEANA COLLECTION, Bournemouth

Great view; lovely staff, very helpful; bed was a bit small but overall very good would go back. :-)

Liked: Staff were lovely.
Disliked: Bathroom wasn't great.

Uncomfortable and would not stay...

Liked: Close to the sea. Clean.
Disliked: Extremely dated. The room we had on day 1 the bed was so uncomfortable, sagging and noisy that we couldn’t sleep. We were moved on day 2 to another room but unfortunately, even without any heating on, the room was unbearably hot. We slept with windows open and the fan on (in November!!)

Liked: Booked hotel in June via Booking.com app as i had also booked tickets to watch Jools Holland live at The Pavilion, wanted to treat my husband to a night away from home. Not only was the price great value I also had the choice to pay via Klarna. Last week got a message from staff at Ocean Beach Hotel and Spa to apologise that due to staffing problems they were organising our stay at their sister hotel The Suncliff.Staff were friendly and welcoming and the room we stayed in has a very BIG and comfortable bed. My husband is partially disabled, and it was lovely watching him stay in one position most of the night.Was advised by staff that we could have used the pool, gym and all the leisure facilities but to be quite honest just wanted to relax before our big night out.Next time must ask for a room with a bath (as don't have one at home)
Disliked: The only gripe was people outside after 2am being rather loud (not the hotels fault).We got back from our venue before 10:30 and would have liked a drink but bar was closed.

Bmouth Xmas market 2024 stay

Liked: We stayed in the sister hotel, Suncliff hotel next door due to issues at the ocean beach hotel and spa. I was given enough notice that our booking was going to be the sister hotel and it did not disappoint, bed was comfortable and room was clean and was good value for money for what we wanted in a room. Bathroom was very specious.
Disliked: There was a draft coming from the window where the bed was under. Maybe the window needs looking at.

Disliked: The shower was permanently on boiling the pool was green outside it took 25 minutes to book in there was masking tape on the walls the wardrobe was filthy

Most likely wouldn’t advise or...

Liked: Location and sea view was good for our trip, close to many amenities. Easy to find and not far from motorway.
Disliked: Car park was small and reception staff wasn’t too helpful, hotel was far too warm and room was small, pictures weren’t the same as real time viewing. Had to go next door for breakfast but couldn’t eat as it was too busy and food was bare.

Only plus was the Seaview.

Liked: Location, and Seaview.
Disliked: Car park was terrible, building looked a bit run down, breakfast was in sister hotel next door, nothing wrong with the food they just couldn't cope with the amount of people, massive queues for food and when you eventually got to the hot plates to help yourself there wasn't much left which meant waiting for food to be replaced, lots of staff wandering around looking busy and doing nothing, very poor and explains why people usually stay at one of the chain hotels brands because they know what to expect.
